In a tweet, the UN mission said on Monday that it had been the victim of indirect rocket or mortar fire in Menaka in northern Mali. "This morning, 6 December, at around 6 a.m., the MINUSMA shared camp in Ménaka was the target of indirect fire (rockets or mortars) without causing any casualties or material damage," the UN mission said. In addition, it said that a mortar attack targeted the MINUSMA camp in Gao at around 6am on Sunday, adding that the Ansongo camp was also hit by mortars, without causing any casualties. However, the UN mission said that two peacekeepers were injured by an improvised explosive device on Saturday in Tassiga in the Ansongo circle in the Gao region. On the same day, Saturday 4 December, the peacekeepers' camp in Kidal was the target of a mortar attack at around 1pm, the same source said.
