On 23 November 2021, in the Monywa-Ayadaw Road in Ayadaw township, the Thapyay Nyo Guerrilla Force and six (unreported) allies attacked a convoy of military trucks four times with remote-controlled explosives. The Thapyay Nyo Guerrilla Force claimed more than 20 soldiers died.
