On 23 November 2021, an IED planted by an unidentified party on the vehicle of the commander of the 2nd Tihama Resistance Brigade -- Fuad Jahannam -- exploded north of Hays city (Al Hudaydah) injuring the commander and 3 of his companions. There were no fatalities. The source mentioned rivalries between anti-Houthi forces on the west coast and suggested that the IED could have been planted by Giants Brigade forces.
