On 24 November 2021, an unidentified group targeted (presumably with an IED) Giants Brigade Staff Officer Ghamdan Sayyad in Hays district (Al Hudaydah). Reports claimed that Sayyad lost his leg in the attempt. There were no fatalities. The source mentioned rivalries between anti-Houthi forces on the west coast and suggested that the IED could have been planted by Tareq Saleh's forces.
