On 25 November 2021, in Thar Yar Kone village (Budalin township, Monywa district, Sagaing region), artillery shells fired by the military forces that were stationed at Mya Thein Than pagoda hill, Ye Butalin village fell onto the monastery where locals were fleeing. The DVB reported that seven refugees/IDPs (six women and one man) staying in the monastery were injured. The RFA reported that nine refugees/IDPs were injured.
