On 26 November 2021, unknown militants detonated an explosive device targeting a joint Iraqi Security Forces - Rapid Response Forces patrol in the orchards of Raya village east of Al Abbarah town in Diyala province. The blast injured 8 members of the joint force. There were no fatalities.
