On 29 January 2022, Houthi forces fired 1 ballistic missile on a gathering of Giants Brigades forces near a mosque in Sufhah (Usaylan, Shabwah) killing at least 5 and injuring at least 11 and damaging the mosque. Depending on sources, casualties were exclusively Giants fighters, exclusively civilians, or a mix of both. Houthi forces claimed that the missile strike killed and injured 40 Giants fighters.
