Around 2 February 2022 (as reported), Nigerian military forces conducted air strikes on camps of militiamen in Ilela village (Safana, Katsina). Dozens were killed including 2 militia leaders, Gwaska Dankarami and Alhaji Abdulkarim, and others wounded.
