On 3 February 2022, an IED of unidentified origin that was planted on the vehicle of the STC-affiliated 8th Reserve Brigade commander (coded as Security Belt Forces) detonated in Al Khudayrah (Al Madaribah Wa Al Arah, Lahij) killing 4 and injuring 3.
