On 4 February 2022, in Saw Baw Thea village of Demoso township (Loikaw district, Kayah state), the military fired artillery rounds at the surrounding villages at around 11 am. Two residential houses and a church hit heavy shells in So Baw The village and four civilians were injured - one of them severely.
