On 27 January 2022, in Monywa town of Monywa township (Monywa district, Sagaing region), there were explosions in several locations including at a Mytel Telecom tower, a KBZ bank and a local police station. Monywa-based guerrilla groups - Monywa Nightking, Monywa Phoneix Warrior, Monywa Ninja, ACF Monywa - claimed responsibility. There were no casualties.
