On 27 January 2022, in Ocana (Norte de Santander), unidentified armed individuals threw multiple explosives at a military base, resulting in between 1 to 5 military soldiers injured and several damages to the facilities. Although the authorship of the attack has not been confirmed, the area is known for the presence of ELN, Gulf Clan members, and the 33rd FARC dissident faction. There were no fatalities.
