On 27 January 2022, CPI-Maoist cadres blew up a railway track near the Chaudhribandh station (Giridih, Jharkhand). This is a part of a day-wide 'Bandh' (strike) across Jharkhand and Bihar 'Bandh' (strike) to demand healthcare facilities for a CPI-Maoist leader and his wife who are currently imprisoned. There were no casualties. The day-long bandh has been preceded with Resistance Day observed by the Maoists from January 21 to January 26.
