On 23 January 2022, in Myaing Ka Lay village (coded as Myaing Ka Lay (Ywar Gyi)) (Hpa-An township, Hpa-An district, Kayin state), a bomb exploded at a power plant in front of a 4,000-tonne military-owned cement factory around 7 am. There were no casualties.
