On January 23, a National Revolutionary Front of Manipur (NRFM) militant was arrested from Khurai Heikrumakhong in Imphal East District of Manipur, reports Northeast Today. The arrestee identified as Hourongbam Yohenba Meitei alias Tamo, a transgender, was involved in a series of extortion activities and bomb blasts including the explosion near a pharmacy on December 15, 2021 at Imphal East District. Two grenades and extortion note were recovered from the possession of the arrestee.
