Grenade event in Manila, Manila Arena in Sta. Ana area, Philippines on Thu 27th January 2022

A grenade was hurled at the Manila Arena cockpit in Santa Ana, Manila last Thursday night. The cockpit was visited by several missing men two weeks ago. As reported by Darlene Cay on GMA News "Unang Balita" on Friday, CCTV camera footage shows the riding in tandem outside the arena. They slowed down as they approached the arena and seemed to have been stoned. This was followed by the release of several men and a guard who tried to chase the suspects. The riding in tandem escaped and found a grenade thrown by them that did not explode. Arena personnel immediately called authorities. According to police, they have not yet seen a clear motive for the grenade throwing. The perpetrators may have intended to intimidate. Authorities will also find out if it is related to the incident of the disappearance of some cockroaches who went to such cockpit two weeks ago.
