On 15 January 2022, the Saudi-led coalition conducted air raids against Houthi positions near the technical institute in As Sawmaah district (Al Bayda) destroying a ballistic missile launch platform as well as tanks, military vehicles, and cars carrying reinforcements, killing several Houthi fighters and field leaders.
