On 17 January 2022, in Pin Ne Taw, Bilin township (Thaton district, Mon State), the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) carried out a mine attack against the Myanmar military forces stationed at Kan Taw Ni Monestary in Pin Ne Taw at around 5 am. The attack killed three military forces and injured two others.
