On 17 January 2022, between Tha Pyay Kone and Bo Kone villages, Madaya township (Pyinoolwin district, Mandalay region), the People's Defense Force - Madaya carried out a bomb attack against nine military convoy vehicles at around 1 pm. DVB reported two deaths, Myanmar Now reported that many soliders in the cars were killed or injured. A lieutenant commander from military forces died, according to Ministry of Defense - NUG report. Fatalities coded as 1.
