On 20 January 2022, in Chanmyathazi township (Mandalay district, Mandalay region), an explosion took place near the Township General Administrator's Office and the Department of Municipal Motor Vehicles Depot near 60th and 107th Streets in Myo Thit No (3) Ward at around 7 pm. At the same time, another explosion occurred near 68th and 105th Streets in Chan Mya Thar Si Myo Thit No (1) Ward. Casualties unknown.
