On January 21, a huge cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from an underground pit in South-West Khasi Hills in Meghalaya, reports Northeast Now. The ammunition including US-made revolvers, magazines and 410 live rounds was wrapped in a yellow-coloured plastic bag and hidden underground in the deep jungle along the Lakma Nallah that flows from India to Bangladesh. Following the recovery, surrounding area was further searched with metal detector, but nothing more could be found.
