On 16 February 2022, near Let Kauk Kya village of Shwebo township (Shwebo district, Sagaing region), six military soldiers travelling on three motorbikes from Kyauk Myaung town to Lat Kout Kya village were attacked with remote-controlled explosives. The military reinforcements were also attacked with remote-controlled explosives. The Nat Taung Dragon PDF and the Ghost Rider Special Task Force (Mdy) coordinated the attack and claimed 5 military soldiers died. Another source, the NUG, reported 4 military soldiers died.
