On 16 February 2022, between Wa Thon Da Ra and Kaung Mon villages of Madaya township (coded as Wa Thon Da Ra) (Pyinoolwin district, Mandalay region), a military column of 32 trucks travelling from Tabeikkyin to Mandalay was attacked with remote-controlled explosives at 9 am. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack. Casualties unknown.
