In another incident in the same District, on March 9, a huge cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from a waiting shed in Khurai Lairikyengbam Leikai. The recovered ammunition included 58 live rounds of AK-47 rifles, 34 live rounds of INSAS rifles, 2 Chinese made hand grenades, 8 live rounds of SLR (FN-FAL), 1 live round of .22 pistol, 7 rounds of double barrel, 1 number of 7.62x25 ammunition, 131 empty casings of AK-47 ammunition, 261 empty casings of INSAS rifle ammunition, 1 unserviceable magazine of SLR (FN-FAL) and 1 unserviceable wireless set (KENWOOD).
