Terrorists shot dead a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan Mukhtar Ahmad in Shopian District of Jammu and Kashmir on March 12, reports Times of India. He was on leave and spending time with his family at Check Chotipora, his native village, when he was fatally attacked in his home. He died of bullet wounds in his chest, lower back and face, a doctor at Shopian District Hospital said. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Snha condemned the “cowardly attack”. “The perpetrators of abhorrent, inhuman act shall be punished,” he said.
