Earlier, on March 7, a huge cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from Lumding railway station in Hojai District of Assam. According to Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railway, 29 packets wrapped in plastic containing 20 sticks each, a total 580 pieces of gelatin sticks and three coils of fuse wire was recovered. One person identified as Johanming Thangsang Parate was arrested for illegal transportation of the explosive from Shillong to Dimapur.
