On March 6, a gun battle took place between National Socialist Council of Nagaland––Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) and 6 Assam Rifles (AR) in between Kapu and Bera villages in Tirap District of Arunachal Pradesh, reports The Arunachal Times. Following an input about NSCN-IM militants visiting Kapu village and demanding road construction agency based in the village to pay money, an operation was launched. Confirming the incident, IGP (Law & Order) Chukhu Apa said that further details are awaited.
