On 8 March 2022, in Kan Hpyu village (Wetlet township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), about 80 troops from the Shwebo based military's LIB 42 raided and fired heavy artillery shells into the village. About 300 villagers were forced to flee. Casualties unknown.
