On 28 February 2022, in Nawng Woe village (Lawksawk township, Taunggyi district, Shan-South state), a shopkeeper from Hsipaw was hit by a landmine near the Nawng Woe Cable-Stayed Bridge while selling goods at about 10:30 am. His legs were seriously injured.
