On 2 March 2022, Turkish army warplanes conducted airstrikes targeting Hirore (Hiroor) village in Al Amadiya district of Duhok, in conjunction with artillery shelling carried out by land forces. There were no casualties. One artillery shell hit the roof of a civilian house, and shrapnel from the shelling inflicted material damage to several other houses in the village.
