Three soldiers were killed and five others were injured when a convoy of Security Forces (SFs) was attacked by Baloch Raj Aajoi Sangar (BRAS) militants in the Badok area along the Makran Coastal Highway in Gwadar District of Balochistan on February 20, reports The Balochistan Post. The SFs summoned aerial help but the attackers had managed to escape by then. BRAS claimed responsibility for the attack. In a media statement, Baloch Khan, the BRAS spokesperson said that the Pakistani forces had sustained casualties and material damage. Baloch Khan said after being “utterly vanquished” in “successful guerrilla operations” both in cities and in the mountains, the Pakistani forces are now targeting innocent Baloch civilians. The security forces are forcibly disappearing Baloch civilians, especially the Baloch students, and forcing them into prison, he added.|Separately, a soldier was killed as SFs conducted a clearance operation in a hideout based on intelligence information about presence of terrorists in the area near Kohlu town (Kohlu District) on February 20, reports Geo TV. A statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said terrorists opened indiscriminate fire while fleeing the hideout as soon as troops started cordoning the area and Captain Haider Abbas was killed during the heavy exchange of fire.
