On 22 February 2022, unknown gunmen presumably opposition rebels targeted regime forces positions on Tallat Abu As'ad axis near Tallat Abu Ali town in Lattakia countryside with heavy machine guns, injuring a number of regime soldiers. There were no fatalities.
