On 25 February 2022, between Hlwe Seik and Hman Ni Pin village, Kanbalu township (Kanbalu district, Sagaing region), the People's Defense Force (PDF) operating under NUG's command carried out four mine attacks against the military troops and Pyu Saw Htee members between Hlwe Seik and Hman Ni Pin village at around 2 pm. Five military soldiers died and fifteen were injured. A military vehicle was also destroyed.
