Grenade event in Jammu and Kashmir, Sahib area in Shopian District area, India on Mon 28th March 2022

Unidentified militants hurled a grenade at Police near Special Operation group (SOG) camp at the Imam Sahib area in Shopian District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on March 28, reports Daily Excelsior. However, no casualties were reported in the incident, and the area has been cordoned off to arrest the fleeing militants, Police said.|Police arrested two Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants from Sunnergund area in Budgam District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on March 28, reports Daily Excelsior. An official said that Budgam Police along with 62 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) of Army arrested two militants of LeT, identified as Waseem Ahmad Ganai, resident of Ramnagri Shopian & Iqbal Ashraf Sheikh, resident of Sedow Shopian, from Sunnergund area of Budgam. “Incriminating materials, arms and ammunition including a Chinese Pistol, two pistol magazines, 12 pistol rounds and 32 AK-47 rounds have been recovered from their possession,” the official said.
