SAA event in Chhattisgarh, Gumjhir villageunder Antagarh Tehsil (revenue unit) in Kanker District area, India on Mon 21st March 2022

A territorial army soldier identified as Sanjay Kunjam was shot dead by suspected Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres in the middle of a market in Gumjhir villageunder Antagarh Tehsil (revenue unit) in Kanker District of Chhattisgarh on March 21, reports livehindustan.com. Kunjam whose posting was at present in the Kanker headquarters had gone to the cock market in the annual fair of Gumjhir village, 20 kilometres from Kanker. Two suspected armed Maoists opened fire on the forehead of Kunjam standing inside the market circle. There was chaos in the market after hearing the sound of bullets, and taking advantage of this, both the assailants fled from the spot.
