On 22 March 2022, in Htan Be Hla village of Ye-U township (coded as Htan Be Hla) (Ye-U township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), more than 180 military troops marching towards the village fired heavy artillery shells at the villagers, killing a 8-year-old boy and injuring four others including a 13-year-old girl. After 30 minutes, the military forces tortured five people, accusing them of being PDF members. Three of them were released and other two were arrested.
