On 24 March 2022, in Htee Hmu Htet village of Myawaddy township (coded as Myawaddy) (Myawaddy district, Kayin state), the military forces fired 120mm heavy artillery shells indiscriminately into the village at around 5 am, killing a teenage girl and injuring two other locals. Three houses and a car were damaged.
