On 15 March 2022, unknown militants detonated 5 roadside explosives, including both conventional and improvised devices, targeting a convoy carrying logistical materials for the US belonging to a contractor (Iraqi company and drivers) for the Global Coalition Against Daesh in the Al Jirayshan area of Basrah province near the Kuwaiti border. Iraqi forces discovered and defused an additional 3 explosive devices in the attack area. Three vehicles were damaged. There were no casualties.
